hello huge wall...where did you come from?

well i've hit a wall! i was doing great working out 3-5 times a week in the mornings but after seeing absolutly NO progress after 3 weeks of it i've it a wall! Some moms lose their extra baby weight while they nurse...me not at all! i'm holding onto it for dear life :( sense i've only been getting like 4 hours of sleep a night its so hard to get up and want to work out. somedays it makes me feel better but somedays i just want to go home and sleep the second i get to the gym! :( guess i need someone to give me a good swift kick in my chubby butt and get me to stop feeling bad for myself that i'm not losin my weight. Nursing is worth holding onto the extra 15-20lbs i'm wanting to lose at least through this crappy winter/flu season so i'll just suck it up and work out to feel good and not to lose the weight right away! if anyone wants/needs a work out buddy and has a gym membership to codys gym here in ephraim, then come with me! thanks for the vent session. anyone feel like me? :)

  1. Yes!!! I feel like you! Skye stopped nursing after only 2 months!!! So nursing didn't help me loose any weight. I have been working out but when I get on the scale, i have only lost 4 pounds since having skye!!!! so sad! what the heck is going on? it's hard for me to go sweat up a storm when i know it's not even taking off the pounds. Oh well...I think our bodies are in shock right now. Just having a baby messes it all up. Pretty soon, our bodies will realize we are burning calories we are not taking in and give up some of it's pounds. HOPEFULLY right??? Love ya!!! You are NOT alone!

  2. Have you thought about working out at night instead of in the mornings? Just a thought, I like to switch it up! I work out in the morning a couple times a week and at night a couple times.

  3. I gained about 20 lbs (on top of my post-partum weight) when I was nursing my daughter! Some people just melt away and I think my metabolism was freaking out.
The absolute only thing that has worked for weight loss for me was south beach, and I mean, REALLY doing it. I still have about 15-20 lbs to go and I just do not want to do it again. I thought I had kick started myself enough that exercise would work, but it didn't. Did you see the TIME article about the fact that exercise doesn't matter as much as diet? It's depressing. My hub told me to just bite the bullet and do south beach again. It's torture. TORTURE. I even have not eaten sugar for over a month and I haven't lost weight, so I guess it's the carbs. I just don't feel healthy on South Beach. Arrrrrgh.
