I was having a hard time getting to the gym this past week because I couldn't remember what my motivation was for going. I'm a nursing mom of a 4-month old, and the baby weight is amazingly coming off pretty nicely. I just have 12 pounds to get to my normal weight. Anyway, the best time for me to work out is in the morning when hubby's still home and baby's still asleep, but this last week, the bed seemed much more appealing than getting ready, driving over to the gym, and using my muscles! Baby still eats a couple of times during the night and sometimes I just can't help using the "I need more sleep" excuse to skip out on working out. Then this morning came: it was 7am, baby and hubby were both asleep, and I couldn't sleep! My body was telling me to go exercise, so I finally listened. It felt good, and while I was there, I remembered a couple of reasons why I work out:
1. It's the only me-time I get all day
2. I sleep better when I exercise regularly
If I don't actually get up and go to the gym, I will still most likely go for a walk with the baby later on in the day, or maybe even do crunches or leg lifts at home, but those are not as fulfilling for me, exercise-wise.
What motivates you to exercise, even when you're super tired? :)
