My workouts...
So I am computer illiterate most of the time and don't know how to add my workout to the side but thought I would write a little and add my workout on here too.. So I am 8 months pregnant. My goal is not to lose weight... yet! But it is to try and keep my weight under control so that it won't be so so hard to get off after I have my baby. So far I have gained about 21 pounds. I'm really worried since the baby is due Dec 20. So I have all of the holidays to try and survive through. I have been able to go to the gym 3-5 days a week but all I can really do is do the elliptical, the bike, or I have been going to a Zumba class once week. I usually do about 30-45 min on the elliptical and sometimes I sub 10 min for the bike. Any suggestions that a huge preggo can do to help not gain TOO much? Thanks guys!

I've only had one baby, so I'm no expert, but I exercised all the way through my pregnancy and still gained 40 pounds! But it's been coming off (about a pound a week since my 6 week postpartum mark) and I owe it to nursing and the fact that I was in my best shape ever before I got pregnant (I had done the 12 week Body for Life program prior to). We'll see how things go the second time around, though! If you've only gained 21 pounds at eight months, that's amazing. I mean, 12 or so comes off right after delivery, right? Keep up being active!
ReplyDeleteTelsha...you are my hero! I can't believe you can work out that much (with a toddler) and be 8 months pregnant!!! that's amazing! Here's my point of view. With Jade, I was 136 lbs before getting pregnant. I gained 25 pounds during pregnancy putting me at 161 lbs. And I didn't work out much. Before Skye I was in the best shape I have ever been and weighed 126 lbs. But I gained 35 lbs putting me at 161 lbs. And now I struggle to get back to my 126 lbs. I weigh 137 now. Still lots to go but the weight seemed to come off way faster this second time because I was in such good shape before and remained active during pregnancy. So it seems like you are doing everything you can do. You are an amazing woman. You are VERY dedicated to working out right now and this is the probably the hardest time to get yourself to do it...so hats off to you. Maybe from here on out it will only get easier.
